Sort by any metric
Sort by sales, revenue, margin, stock, views, discount, price or publish date over the period you choose – 7, 30, 90 days or any range. Shopify's own best-selling sort counts all-time orders.
“We sort by revenue and use the featured function to push specific products to the top.”

Refine with 30+ conditions, stacked by priority
Refine any sort with conditions by tag, vendor, type, price, age or stock. Rules run in sequence: pinned first, then new arrivals, then tagged products, then the primary sort, sold-out last. No weights to tune.
Set rules per collection or globally
Set global defaults once and override any collection that needs its own rule – "Best Sellers" by 30-day revenue, "Sale" by discount, "New" by publish date, all at the same time.
Pin products, manually or on a schedule
Pin products to the top in the order you set. Schedule placements for launches and sales; they release automatically when the period ends.
“…extremely helpful in organizing larger collections and scheduling featured products.”
Alpha Industries, Shopify App Store review
Push new arrivals up and sold-out down
Push new products to the top for 1 to 365 days, treat restocks as new, and push sold-out items down – they stay published and indexed.
“…push OOS items to the end and have more control over the sort order.”
BoozeBud, Shopify App Store review
Auto-tag bestsellers, trending and new
Tag the top 50 by sales or revenue over a lookback you set, trending, new arrivals and aging stock; tags feed smart collections and storefront badges.
“…new and specifically tagged products are sorted to the top.”
TITUS, Shopify App Store review

ABC grades and sell-through per product or variant, bestseller reports – daily or weekly by email, or on demand. Performance report weekly or monthly.
Sort on schedule, 1 to 4 times a day
Every enabled collection re-sorts at the hour you choose; add-on for 2, 3 or 4 sorts a day. Metafield output for theme-level control, CSV import and export of tag rules.
Four setups merchants run every day
Each setup is a handful of rules, set once. Here is the store, the rules and what the collection looks like after.
Fashion drop
Pin the new collection's hero products for 14 days, push new arrivals up for 30 days, sort the rest by 30-day revenue, sold-out products to the bottom. Result: the drop leads the page while it is new, bestsellers take over as it ages.
Large catalog, hundreds of collections
One global rule: 90-day revenue, sold-out down, restocks as new. Override only "Sale" (by discount) and "New" (by publish date). Result: hundreds of collections in order from one setup, three exceptions.
Sale and clearance
Sort the Sale collection by discount value, tag products with fewer than 5 units left and place that tag at the top, sold-out products to the bottom. Result: what must go moves first without burning margin, and nothing sold out is on the first screen.
Seasonal and expiring stock
Tag by age or restock date, position tagged products before the primary sort, switch the rule 1–2 months before the season. Result: seasonal stock leads while it sells, fades on its own after.

Great app - and even better support! I would recommend this app to everyone.
Great app, highly recommend for organising large catalogue stores. We sort by revenue and use the featured function to push specific products to the top (e.g new products that we think will be winners).
We use this app not only for daily re-sorting, whereby new and specifically tagged products are sorted to the top and sold-out and unpopular products are pushed to the bottom, but also for the intelligent tagging of products that are e.g. topsellers, trending or almost sold out in order to generate suitable product labels. Operation is simple and intuitive, and the support team responds promptly ...
Very happy with the sorting capabilities of this app so we can push OOS items to the end and have more control over the sort order. This will save us a lot of time as we were manually sorting some collections but can now use tags to push products up or down. I had a question about the GA integration as I couldn't get the sorting by pageviews to work as I wanted it and the support team were very ...
Bestsellers reSort is a great app that is super easy to use and time-saving. In addition, the support team is incredibly friendly and always ready to help.
It makes sorting collections a lot easier and it's a very simple to use and intuitive application. Support is very quick to respond and they help solve problems efficiently.
The merchandising sorting rules are extremely helpful in organizing larger collections and scheduling featured products. My biggest issue is there is very limited reporting options. There is an app performance report, but it is only available every 30 days. That is not helpful in analyzing the store's merchandising performance and the app's ROI.
Been using this app for over a year now and we're very happy with it. Clean interface, good pricing, and performs exactly as advertised. Sorting products based on the past week's revenue, as well as tagging best sellers, are both great features.
One of a kind app that let you easily order your products in collections by tags. Within the tags order, it let you have the most recently created products displaying first, couldn't find that in any other apps i tried before. Great customer support comes with it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Bestsellers reSort – sorting rules, catalog size, frequency, reports, and pricing.
How does automated collection sorting work on Shopify?
Bestsellers reSort replaces Shopify's limited built-in sorting with data-driven rules. Define sorting criteria – revenue, sales count, margin, tags, inventory, or publish date – and the app re-sorts your collections automatically on schedule, 1 to 4 times a day. No code or theme changes required.
Can I sort Shopify collections by revenue for a specific time period?
Yes. Bestsellers reSort lets you sort by revenue over custom time periods – 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or any range you define. This is a key advantage over Shopify's built-in 'best-selling' sort, which uses lifetime sales with no time weighting. Sorting by recent revenue surfaces products that are trending now, not ones that sold well months ago.
What sorting criteria does the app support?
Revenue over a specific period, total sales count, margin, assigned tags, inventory quantity, publishing date, discount value, views, and randomized order. You can also push new products to the top, push sold-out items to the bottom, and pin featured products in fixed positions.
Can I sort Shopify collections by multiple rules at once?
Yes. Bestsellers reSort supports multi-rule sorting with priority ordering. For example, pin 3 featured products at the top, sort remaining products by 30-day revenue, and push out-of-stock items to the bottom – all applied in sequence.
What makes Bestsellers reSort different from Shopify's built-in sorting?
Shopify's native sorting options are limited to alphabetical, price, date, and best-selling (lifetime). Bestsellers reSort adds revenue-based sorting over custom time periods, multi-rule stacking, ABC grade analysis, auto-tagging, featured product pinning, and detailed performance reports – giving merchants full control over how products appear in collections.
Does Bestsellers reSort include product analytics?
Yes. The app provides in-app statistics on product trends, position changes, sales, revenue, and stock availability over rolling 7-day windows. Optional reports by email – daily or weekly – include bestseller rankings with ABC grade analysis and sell-through rate calculations.
How do I promote new arrivals in Shopify collections automatically?
Bestsellers reSort can push newly published products to the top of any collection automatically. Combine this with auto-tagging – the app labels products as 'new arrival' based on publish date – and use the tags to power Shopify smart collections or display storefront badges. As products age, they naturally move down based on sales performance.
Can I auto-tag products as bestsellers or new arrivals?
Yes. Bestsellers reSort auto-tags products based on performance rules you define – bestseller, new arrival, trending, or custom labels. These tags feed Shopify's smart collections and can trigger storefront badges or promotional logic.
Does Bestsellers reSort handle stores with 100,000+ products?
Yes. Stores with more than 100,000 products sort with Bestsellers reSort, and the largest run over 1,000,000. Sorting runs in the background on schedule; catalog size does not change setup.
Can it push down products with missing sizes?
Not as a built-in rule. Out-of-stock variants are excluded when sorting by price, discount or margin, and reports can run per variant. To move products with broken size runs down, tag them – manually or with a tagging rule on stock quantity – and give that tag a position before out-of-stock.
How often are collections re-sorted?
Once a day on every plan, at the hour you choose. An add-on adds 2, 3 or 4 scheduled sorts a day. Manual re-sort is available at any time.
Does it work with Shopify Search & Discovery?
Yes. Bestsellers reSort sets the collection's default order; Search & Discovery handles filters and search. Merchants run both – Different Drop combines them.
How do I know if the sorting is helping sales?
Weekly or monthly performance reports show position changes; bestseller and ABC reports show sell-through, grades and rankings.
How much does Bestsellers reSort cost?
Bestsellers reSort offers a 7-day free trial on all plans. Paid plans scale based on the total number of products and collections in your Shopify store. Visit the Shopify App Store listing for current pricing.
