Can I sort products variants in a Shopify collection using price when using a custom theme?

I sell workout leggings on my Shopify store under my parent collection 'Leggings'. They vary in colour and size and are suited to the female frame. I released a unique set of leopard print leggings in different colours, but they aren't selling very well. I've decided to decreased the price and use a custom theme to showcase them on the store. Please can someone tell me how to sort these leggings by price?

When you create a collection in Shopify, you can choose to sort the products by:
- Product title (A-Z),
- best-seller,
- price point,
- newest and lowest product, and
- preferred but manual sorting order.
However, the default sorting options may not be available if you're using a custom theme. Fortunately, there's a creative workaround to help you sort products by price, even when using a custom theme. You have to create a collection and then write a program code. Here, you may need to take help from a programmer. Or you can integrate a third-party app like Sortimize Collection Sort for your specific sorting requirements.
