Put the range in the order it sells in
Heroes on the first row, the drop on top for its first weeks, then what sells now, sold-out last. Shopify gives a collection one order from a fixed list; Bestsellers reSort applies all the layers as one rule and runs it every day.
Heroes first
Pin this week's campaign pieces to the first row with a start date and a number of days. They leave the featured row on their own when the campaign ends.
New in on top
New products stay above the range for the number of days you set, 1 to 365. Products coming back into stock can count as new.
Core by what sells now
The rest of the collection follows revenue or units over the last 30 days, or any window you choose, not all-time orders. Paid orders only and discounts deducted, if you want.
Sold out to the bottom
Products with no stock drop below everything else on every run, and come back up when stock returns. With StockIQ, a product counts as sold out once a set number or share of its sizes is gone.
Labels on the cards
Tag the top sellers, trending pieces, new arrivals and aging stock automatically; your theme prints the label. 64% of fashion stores on the app tag automatically.
Bestsellers reSort treats a product as sold out when its total stock is 0. Sizes are StockIQ's job: its Advanced Out-of-Stock Rules count a product as sold out once a number or share of its sizes is gone.
Collections, stock and stores – one rule each
Three apps, one job each. Start with the one your collection pages need; add the others when sizes sell out or the second store opens.
Sort every collection by what sells now
Set a store default – revenue over the last 30 days, new in on top, sold out to the bottom – and override the collections that differ: Sale by discount, New In by publish date. The app sets the collection to Manually in Shopify and writes the order one to four times a day.
Treat a broken size run as sold out
Decide when a product counts as sold out – every size, a number or share of sizes, or all sizes of one option – and move it to the bottom or hide it with a redirect until stock returns. Let shoppers ask for a back-in-stock alert and send it by market through the app, Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp. Daily low-stock and out-of-stock lists with ABC grade and sell-through rate show what to reorder.
Run one range on every regional store
Connect your EU, US and AU stores with one link key and every change – an order, a restock, a new product, a price update – reaches the other stores in real time. Choose which fields sync: prices, images, tags, SEO fields, collection rules and metafields. A safety net re-checks inventory and fixes what real time missed.
How fashion stores set their rules
Store-level settings of a sample of 40+ fashion and footwear stores from 25+ brands using Bestsellers reSort, compared with a sample of 2,000+ stores in every industry. Snapshot 10 September 2026.
Three setups fashion stores run
Each one is a merchandising rule in the store's own words, then the settings that carry it out.
New drop
The drop leads every collection it is in for three weeks, campaign pieces pinned for two. After that, the pieces that sell take over on 30-day revenue, and sold-out products fall to the bottom. Bestsellers reSort: Featured 14 days, Push New Products Up 21 days, Revenue over 30 days, Push Down Out-of-Stock.
End of season
The Sale collection orders itself by how deep the markdown is, and a style with only two sizes left counts as sold out and leaves the first screen. Bestsellers reSort: Discount – High to Low on Sale only, Push Down Out-of-Stock. StockIQ: Advanced Out-of-Stock Rules set to a share of sizes.
Three regions, one range
A size sells out in the EU store and disappears from the US and AU stores within minutes; a restock does the reverse. Prices and collections stay identical without a spreadsheet. Multi-Store Sync Power for inventory, product and collection sync; StockIQ on each store for sold-out handling and alerts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sizes, new-in windows, themes, regional stores and Shopify Plus.
Can the collection put products with only one size left lower down?
Yes, with StockIQ. Its Advanced Out-of-Stock Rules let you count a product as sold out once a set number or share of its sizes is gone, or when every size of one option is gone; the product then moves to the bottom or hides until stock returns. Bestsellers reSort on its own moves a product down only when its total stock is 0.
How long should new products stay on top?
In a sample of fashion stores on the app that push new products up, the median is 7 days; the setting goes from 1 to 365. Match it to your drop cadence and check the collection after the first cycle.
Does the order change the theme?
No. Bestsellers reSort sets the collection to Shopify's Manually order and writes the positions; your theme shows the collection as it always has. Tags for labels are ordinary Shopify product tags.
We have EU, US and AU stores – do the rules carry across?
Multi-Store Sync Power keeps inventory, products, prices and collections in sync between the stores in real time. Sorting rules are set separately on each store in Bestsellers reSort; the store default is the same handful of settings on each.
Does this work on Shopify Plus?
Yes. The apps run on every Shopify plan; 2,500+ of the stores using them are on Shopify Plus.
Set the order once. Start with one collection.
Begin with Bestsellers and the 7-day trial. Add StockIQ when sold-out sizes need alerts, Multi-Store Sync Power when the second store opens.
