How do I transfer inventory across multiple Shopify stores?

Asked 3 years ago

My brother's Shopify store contains inventory that I can use in my Shopify store. How can I transfer the inventory from his store to mine?

You can transfer inventory quickly across multiple Shopify stores, as long as it is an active location. You cannot transfer products that use a third-party fulfillment service. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Shopify admin and "Products."
  2. Tap on the label "Transfers" and click "Add Transfer".
  3. In sections, you will see the "Origin" option, and you have to select the location of inventory supply.
  4. Next, go to the "Destinations" section and select the location of the inventory.
  5. Select all products you want and tap "Add To Transfer".
  6. After determining the quantity, go to the "Shipment Details" and enter your date in the "Expected Arrival" with the Tracking Number and Shipping Carrier.
  7. Click "Save Transfer".

If you want a simpler way out, you can join forces with the "Multi-store Sync Power" by Egnition. This app is a one-stop solution to help you synchronize inventory across multiple stores in a snap! You can also sync your inventory two-ways from any store along with the alterations in other stores.
