What is the best way to keep track of inventory?

Hi guys, I currently use an excel sheet to track my inventory. Which, I know, is probably regarded as an old-school method now. So, is there an app or a better way to keep track of inventory that is even less effort than excel?

Excel is a good tool for basic inventory management and inventory tracking however if you are looking for an alternative solution that can handle all of this and inventory analysis then there are several options.
You will need to consider how you will be using an app, whether you will be primarily looking for a mobile solution, and if so whether it is compatible with your phones' operating system.
There are a plethora of apps that can do as much, or as little as you require, whether you need barcode scanning or integration with other products and automatic reordering.
There is no one size fits all solution so perhaps try several free applications and see which best meets your requirements.
