How can I alert customers to low stock quantity?

Hey, I own an online clothing Shopify-based store. I often find I need to refund customers due to running out of stock for products. Is there a way to notify customers if only a few items remain in stock? TYIA

Shopify has no specific features that can notify customers of low-stock quantities. Fortunately, there are some other ways that you can use to alert your customers to low stock quantity:

  1. Take advantage of a Shopify app like Out-of-stock Police by Egnition. This app alerts sellers and customers about low, sold-out, or out-of-stock products.
  2. Send an email or text message to your customers who have previously purchased the product, letting them know that the stock is running low and that they may want to purchase soon.
  3. Use retargeting ads to reach your Shopify customers who have viewed the low-stock item, reminding them to purchase before it sells out.
  4. Use a "low stock" or "out of stock" label on the product page of your website, so customers can see which items are running low at a glance.
