Does Shopify have inventory management?

Does Shopify come with a built-in inventory management system, or will I have to buy an app to do inventory analysis, generate reports, stock-take, etc.?

Yes is the answer !! Shopify does have an inventory management option. You are able to set up inventory tracking, and adjust your inventory levels by utilising the inventory area of your Shopify account. Additionally the reports can be customized to suit your personal requirements.
Inventory analysis and the generation of reports are embedded within this area and you can access multiple metrics. Reports can be categorized by selling price, units, revenue, payments, liabilities and many more.
There are a multitude of additional apps available that will perform the functions above, and more, however the Shopify  built in reporting should cater for most requirements.
