Advantages of having multiple stores on Shopify?

What are some advantages of having multiple stores on Shopify? I'm wondering if I should open another store as a different brand that sells products that I already sell on my existing store but I'm not sure if it is worth it.

While owning multiple Shopify stores can benefit some sellers, I don't think it would be advantageous in your case. Selling the same products in two separate stores may not be an ideal strategy.

It could distract your focus from improving your main store and competing effectively against other sellers. You may end up with two similar average-performing stores instead of one strong-performing store.
