Custom sort order for different products in the same Shopify category?

Is it possible to do this? I sell gym equipment on Shopify including dumbbells and weighted plates. The dumbbells are a hit and sell quite quickly compared to the plates. I currently have both products categorized as "weights" which are all sorted based on price but I'd like to sort the plates differently and get rid of the old ones that have been in storage for a long time. Is it possible to do this under one category? Cheers

You can easily create custom sort orders by using Bestseller Resort by Egnition. This Shopify app enables the custom sort order feature via its sorting by tags feature. All you have to do is upload the CSV file, and the app will keep the products organized per your preference.
