How can I notify customers about out-of-stock products?

I need to notify my customers about the out-of-stock products in my Shopify store. How can I do this professionally and politely? Thanks in advance!

No business wants to let its customers down. When products go out of stock, notifying your customers with an out-of-stock email positively impacts their loyalty to you. Let customers know within a couple of days:

  • If the item they ordered is out of stock.
  • Whether the product will be available shortly.
  • If the item has been discontinued and is no longer available.

Make a sincere apology for the inconvenience and recommend similar products in stock. Offer discounts to encourage your customer to buy something else and enhance customer satisfaction. Make sure to inform them once the products are back in stock through personalized emails.
