How do I test if my Shopify app would handle heavy user traffic?

I want to make sure that the Shopify app I developed for a store merchant would be able to handle spikes in traffic and heavy user input, but I don't know how to mimic this scenario in the development store. Help?

Shopify can handle heavy user traffic. It keeps your store live with a state-of-the-art server setup and data centers at numerous locations.
