Have you ever gone shopping for a very specific item after the shop assistant assured you that there was stock, only to find an empty shelf? How did it make you feel?
It's quite frustrating because you immediately assume that the product you want is sold out. Now, imagine the shop assistant comes and tells you that there is stock available; it's just not visible. Seriously? Not cool.
That's why it is so important to make sure that your Shopify collections are showing up, and if they aren't, you need to fix the problem as soon as possible. Not only are you frustrating your regular customers, but you are also losing out on potential sales.
Why Your Collections Aren't Showing Up in Shopify
There are several reasons why your collections may not be showing up in Shopify. Let's look at four of the most common reasons and how you can remedy them:
- You have multiple collections, and you've linked the incorrect collection in your navigation. You can check this by going to Navigation. Then, if it is incorrect, simply link to the correct collection.
- Your products haven't been set as available in your online store. You'll need to check this on your product pages.
- Your collections are set to automatic and not manual. To fix this, all you need to do is redo your collections and choose manual instead.
- Products may not show up because they are missing titles, descriptions, or images, or because the price is set at zero. Double-check that titles aren't too short or too long.
Now that your collections are showing up again, why not take your inventory to the next level by automating your inventory management? You can forecast your inventory and manage it professionally by taking advantage of the tools available to you within Shopify.
