What is the Maximum Image Size for Shopify?

Image size refers to the dimensions and file weight of your images. It involves the width and height in pixels, and file size in kilobytes or megabytes.

The maximum image size you can upload to Shopify in pixels is 4472 x 4472 and 20MB.

Pro Tip Image location and the theme you use have a bearing on your image sizes. Your theme editor will outline the recommended dimensions within the theme customizer for images and their locations on your website. In most cases, you can get away with 1080 x 1080. Egnition offers an easy solution to resizing your images in the All-in-one Image Master Shopify app.
