Hi, I am a software looking to earn a passive income using my coding skills and assist in app development to improve Shopify store owners' workflow. Is the profit made worth joining the Shopify Partner Program?

With the Shopify Partner program, you can generate revenue by upgrading current merchants to Shopify Plus and tempting them to get additional services. You can also make themes and apps to sell on the Shopify app store. Every different domain has its own profit margin — The more you contribute to the Shopify environment, the more you earn.
